Além dos 6 existem mais 3 filmes de terror encomendados pela Starz Entertainment Group: Freddy vs. Jason, TX Chainsaw Massacre, Scream.
Estas paródias a vários filmes são um projecto da Jennifer Shiman (angry alien). Jennifer captura a essência de cada filme e reduz-la a um pequeno filme em flash. Muito bem feito, criativo e hilariante.
Tudo começou por acaso… Jennifer Shiman decidiu fazer um filme (The Exorcist) de meio minuto para enriquecer o portfolio. Decidiu que seria um filme só com animais. Fez várias experiências com gatos, ratos, castores… E às tantas desenhou um coelho com uma expressão irónica, gostou e optou por ele. Colocou na página da sua empresa, as pessoas gostaram e depois vieram outros (houve uma altura em que o site tinha 10,000 visitantes por hora).
Cada short (re-encenação) leva no máximo 3 semanas de completa dedicação para ser concluído. Deverá sair muito brevemente um CD com todas as “re-encenações”.
Quais serão os próximos filmes?
A Starz encomendou mais 10 filmes, entre eles: Pulp Fiction, Highlander, The Karate Kid, Thelma & Louise…
Jennifer Shiman já falou também (em várias entrevistas) de uma lista pessoal que gostaria de ver “re-encenada”: Poltergeist, Blade Runner, O Silêncio dos Inocentes entre outros.
