Quando o jogo começa vocês acordam na floresta com um galo na cabeça e incapazes de recordar como foram lá parar. Tudo o que recordam são os sonhos. Vêem uma casa ao fundo e decidem que é melhor ir para lá do que morrer congelado nos bosques.
Desliguem as luzes e aumentem o som… a vossa aventura vai começar!
Exmortis é um jogo de Ben Leffler. Com este jogo apanhei o maior susto de que me lembro. O susto foi ainda maior porque eu andava já há uns dias “assustadiça”. Tudo começou com uma pesquisa na internet. Andava eu a ver um site quando dou de cara com um post que dizia “Descubra as diferenças!” e tinha um link. Devo referir que eu estava sozinha, eram para aí 3 da manhã, tinha as luzes apagadas e tinha os phones num volume alto. Eu, que sou pouco curiosa(mentira!)… atiro-me ao link!… Maldita hora… Sim, porque ainda hoje não recuperei totalmente. A página tinha 2 imagens… Lá fiquei eu concentrada tentando encontrar o raio das diferenças, pensando: Raios isto é dificil não encontro diferenças nenhumas. Muito concentrada, completamenta absorvida nos meu pensamentos, com os phones altos e as luzes apagadas, quando de repente começa uma música horrível (metal satânico ou algo que o valha) e a aparecer uma imagem de um monstro qualquer onde estavam as imagens das diferenças… Ia-me dando uma coisinha má!
Ora, uns dias mais tarde, mais uma vez às escuras, com os phones na cabeça (embora desta vez estivesse acompanhada) começo a jogar o Exmortis… O jogo é assustador: o ambiente, a música… mas comecei a jogar. Fui apanhando umas coisas; uma chave e mais não sei o quê… E às tantas vou parar à cozinha, onde resolvo clicar no microndas… Terror!… Salta-me uma cabeça decepada, horrível… Ia morrendo!
Uma última indicação. O Jogo é muito escuro por isso aumentem o brilho do monitor.

[…] WHAT IS (What happened between Exmortis and Exmortis 2) Over the course of a year, countless billions of people were slaughtered as the hordes of Exmortis swept across the earth. Religion was disbanded and eventually revolted against. Governments and their armies fell as mankind was unable to formulate an answer to the sheer numbers of strange creatures taking offence against them. Inevitably, humanity teetered on the brink of total annihilation and only a scattered handful of survivors were left populating the Earth. Back in South-Western USA, a group of such humans formed a resistance movement taking up the same survival tactics that had prolonged the Exmortis in the Spirit World for so long. They ate, moved and existed as a single group. They conducted daring raids upon the once great cities and towns, eliminating as many creatures of the Exmortis as possible whilst rescuing whatever human survivors they came across. The character you play in this game is one such survivor. The resistance became something of folk legend – existing to many isolated survivors as only rumour, innuendo and stories of hope. But eventually Lord Vlaew’s armies gained knowledge of the resistance whereabouts and they quickly attacked with a heightened level of ferocity. The resistance had no where to run and took a final stand, only to fall – but with their heads held up high like true heroes. One survivor of the onslaught (your character) remained and he fled with his life after discovering that his comrades had been crushed beneath the fist of the Exmortis.
